With heavy hearts we bid farewell to a remarkable soul, Dr. Andy Girardot. His passing has left a void in our hearts, yet his legacy shines brightly in the world of orthodontics and beyond. Dr. Girardot passed away peacefully at home on May 9, 2024.
Dr. Girardot’s work as a doctor left the world a better place. His commitment to the profession and his clinical excellence was celebrated throughout the dental community, not only locally but nationally and internationally as well. He lectured all around the world about the importance of functional occlusion and orthodontics and was well published. He was passionate about the Roth Williams Philosophy of bite correction orthodontics, and was known to say “The smile probably won’t last unless the bite is corrected.”.
Dr. Girardot was co-founder, co-director and faculty member of the Advanced Education in Orthodontics (Roth/Williams USA) at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry and at the University of Colorado, School of Dentistry, Department of Orthodontics.
We remember Dr. Girardot each and every day, sharing our fond memories together.
